Dear All,

Greetings from India & Wish a very happy new year!!!

I work with TATA Teleservices Limited as Assistant Manager – Business Development for the Pay Telephony Business (www.tataindicom.com)

Telecom sector is booming in India at an exponential rate & every equipment vendor is setting up shop here. Looking at the growth opportunity many international players are keen on getting a share of the pie viz. Orascom, Maxis & Vodafone eyeing the Hutch stake at $20 Bn. Inspite on the exponential growth the teledensity is still low at approximately 15 and the government has projected it to be around 25 before March 2007.

Well it’s a maturing market with voice continuing to be the main stream for revenue but the trend is already declining. Data is picking up the masses but would take sometime till it dominates the revenue pie.

Would like to learn more about the services being offered on Pay telephones in matured markets, customer demands & challenges service providers are facing in the developed / matured market with intense competition.

Keen to learn more about:

1)Pay telephony business in your country
2)Marketing schemes that the operators have deployed to lure consumers towards Pay telephone
3)Profile of the pay telephone operators viz. prepaid, postpaid connections etc
4)Frame work adopted for process management viz. eTOM / TL9000 etc

For any suggestion or inputs kindly post your comments or send me a PM & I shall respond accordingly. Looking forward for your revert.

Thanks,

Narayan G Jaisingh
