Ajax - its all about performance... |

I keep looking for the next big breakthrough in performance from the users' perspective. Convergence, wireless, collaboration, video, and other exciting potentials all have to work in near real time.
I am not a programmer, but it seems Ajax could address many of the performance issues. Looking through the information on Wikpedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajax_%28programming%29, Ajax follows the type of structure that I like to see.
Take collaboration as an example. While it sounds great to have geographically dispersed teams working on a document, spreadsheet, graphic, or presentation, the downside is moving changes around. It seems to me that the framing techniques in Ajax could reduce the transmissions to only the proposed changes or edits, which could improve performance of the communications piece dramatically.
Anyone out here using Ajax in their solutions? I am hoping someone with expertise can enlighten us. Private Reply to Ken Hilving (new win) |
