I posted a few of these several months back. I just got a huge new batch from the same friend. Have a look and see how many memories these bring back.

Wonderful stroll down memory lane! Thanks to your friend for posting, and to you for sharing with us, Ira.

There is probably a tool bag in my attic with bantam and 310 cords (maybe even cloth covered), orange sticks, and of course a couple of punch down tools.

I enjoyed the photos. I joined the Indian Army Signal Corps in 1965 and served with them until 2004. I have written the History of the Corps of Signals upto 1947. I have many photos of WW I and WW II of the telecom equipment used by the British Army and the Indian Army during those days. If any one is interested I can scan some and post them.

Those pictures are great!

Not to make anyone feel /old/, but it must've been a hoot to work in some of those places...

Vinay, please do! I am a history buff and just adore this sort of thing.

I plan to start taking photos to document current equipment in the hope that people 50 and 100 years from now will have similar reactions. Anybody else want to join the project?
