Suzanne Nicholls-Smith | | Hello Everyone! I'm new to the group, but have been following the group to see what's going on in the telecommunications arena. I have 2 questions that I hope will draw some response. First, has anyone else heard about Google's search for a manufacturer to produce a cell phone for them? And second, WHEN Google does enter the cell service arena, how do you think they will impact cell service as we know it right now? Just curious. Ken Hilving | | We talked about this a couple of times. Take a look at a discussion on Google entering wireless Internet at http://www.ryze.com/posttopic.php?topicid=730946&confid=755 and an article on Google's VoIP strategy in a post at http://www.ryze.com/posttopic.php?topicid=806937&confid=755
I haven't seen a disruptive influence from these earlier entries yet. Private Reply to Ken Hilving |

with regards to the Gphone the manufacturer is from eastern seaboard. I don't remember exactly but do remember that there was an article in times of india (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/) in the month of mar 2007 on the GPhone.
